Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026. We are committed to being transparent about how we handle your data.

This Privacy Policy describes how Pomac Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application GridSmash (“the App”).

We built GridSmash with privacy in mind. We collect as little data as possible and never sell your personal information to third parties.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

We do not require you to create an account to use GridSmash. If you contact us for support, we will receive any information you choose to share in that communication, such as your name and email address.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use GridSmash, we may automatically collect limited technical information to operate the App:

  • Game progress data — levels completed, scores, and unlocked content, stored locally on your device and optionally synced via iCloud
  • Crash reports — anonymised diagnostic information to help us identify and fix bugs
  • Usage analytics — aggregated, anonymised data about feature usage (e.g., which levels are most played) to help us improve the game

1.3 Apple Game Center

GridSmash integrates with Apple Game Center for leaderboards and achievements. If you choose to use Game Center features, Apple collects information in accordance with Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not receive your Apple ID or any identifiable Game Center information beyond your Game Center player alias, which you control in your Apple ID settings.

1.4 iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled and grant the App access, your game progress will be stored in your personal iCloud account. This data is managed by Apple and is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and maintain the App
  • Improve the App based on aggregated usage patterns
  • Identify and fix crashes and technical issues
  • Respond to support requests you submit to us
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising profiling, sell it to data brokers, or share it with third-party advertisers.

3. Third-Party Services

GridSmash uses the following third-party services:

  • Apple Game Center — for leaderboards and achievements. Governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
  • iCloud — for optional progress synchronisation. Governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
  • Apple Crash Reporting — anonymised crash diagnostics via Apple’s built-in frameworks.

We do not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs or social media tracking SDKs into GridSmash.

4. Data Retention

Game progress data is stored on your device and in your iCloud account (if enabled). You can delete this data at any time by uninstalling the App. If you contact us for support, we retain your communication for up to 2 years unless you request earlier deletion.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion — request deletion of your personal data
  • Portability — receive your data in a portable format
  • Objection — object to our processing of your data

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@pomacstudio.com. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Children’s Privacy

GridSmash is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@pomacstudio.com and we will take steps to delete that information.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited data we hold. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong, unique passwords for your Apple ID, which protects your iCloud data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of GridSmash after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
